The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, met today, 8 August 2024, with Claudia Abate, Founder, Executive Director and President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Post-Conflict Development (FPCD), located at the Government Palace in Dili. Claudia Abate’s visit to Timor-Leste from 3 to 11 August aims, in addition to reporting on the situation in Timor-Leste with Monaco Television, to assess needs and explore potential cooperation projects.
During the meeting, Minister Agio Pereira presented the priorities of the 9th Constitutional Government, highlighting key areas of national development. Claudia Abate presented FPCD and its activities, discussing past projects and possible future collaborations.
The Executive Director of FPCD said that the organization is willing to work closely with the Timor-Leste government and local communities to support Timor-Leste in promoting national sustainable development.
During her visit, Claudia Abate and her delegation, including two journalists from Monaco Television, will meet with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, members of the Ninth Constitutional Government and the Secretary-General of the Group of Seven. In addition to Dili, the visit will also include visits to other national cities.
The Foundation for Post-Conflict Development is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable development in fragile and conflict-affected states. Its activities include education, consulting, project management and facilitation of international partnerships, with a focus on maternal health, youth inclusion and building safe communities. FPCD enjoys the high patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco.
