Announced with much fanfare at a press conference at Vodafone’s headquarters last Friday, 5G officially became available to some of the operator’s users on Monday. The entry price to benefit from it: 8,900 francs per month.
Formula 1 module with visuals, speed effects and phone demonstrations from Vodafone broadcast in the hands of General Manager Patrick Moux: Fenua’s 5G – currently only in Papeete – is designed to meet the best world standards.
The program will expand to other cities in Polynesia in a timeline that has yet to be determined. “5G represents a huge investment (…) We are stepping up our efforts (…) We don’t play with margins, we play with quantity and duration,” Patrick Mux said.
