With the participation of 50 companies from Arab and foreign countries specializing in business services, investment and economic activities, the 9th edition of the International Forum of Businessmen, Women and Service Companies “Servex 2024” opened tonight at the Damascus Rose Hotel in Damara, under the title “We Meet to Rise”.
The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Mohammad Tarek Krishatti, confirmed at a press conference after the opening that the forum provides an opportunity for investors and businessmen to provide the services they need to launch projects, contributes to strengthening communication with enterprises and foreign business delegations, exchanging experiences, information and opportunities, indicating the importance of the forum as it encompasses marketing, management and implementation expertise in various fields, as well as services to adopt and develop ideas and transform them into products on the market.
Engineer Radwan Mustafa, secretary of the Damascus Rural Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, noted that the forum is very important and qualitative because it includes national, Arab and friendly expertise, contributing to the reconstruction phase of Syria through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
Halim Al-Akhras, Director of the General Organization of Exhibitions and Foreign Markets, believes that the forum is an excellent opportunity to exchange relevant professional experience and knowledge within the framework of preparations for the establishment of commercial activities between countries. The role of the General Organization of Exhibitions is to promote the approval of exhibitions, especially specialized exhibitions, as they have a direct positive impact.
Khalaf Mashhadani, general manager of Mashhadani International Exhibitions and Conferences Group, which organizes the forum, said that companies participating in the exhibition offer knowledge products where visitors can find services that help adopt and develop their ideas and transform them into products. In addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge, the forum also includes companies from Iraq and Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Hazem Haddad, consultant of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the Federation looks forward to establishing strategic relationships based on credibility and quality through the forum and believes that success comes from teamwork with a professional and specialized team to provide the most comprehensive services to customers.
Irfan Al-Khasawneh, Director General of the Joint Syrian-Jordanian Free Zone, said that their participation in the forum aims to shed light on the work of the free zones and the advantages they offer through their strategic geographical advantages. The Syrian-Jordanian Free Zone has two gates, which contributes to strengthening trade flows between the two countries, noting the role of the forum in establishing links between various commercial and industrial forums and promoting the services and investment sectors. In addition to highlighting the investment barriers faced by the relevant parties in the two countries, it aims to discuss these barriers and find solutions.
Abdullah Harisi, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Saudi Embassy in Damascus, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, Acting Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Syria, Saeed Nazari, Economic Attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Nada Layqa, Director of the Syrian Investment Authority, and some industrialists, businessmen and related activities.
The forum will run until August 7 and will be open to visitors from 5pm to 10pm every day.
