The request for coercive measures detailed that in order to carry out the act, the inmates broke part of the railing leading to the outside of the prison center and intercepted an agent at his work location.
The instance showed that when the agent prevented Reyes Paula from escaping, he attacked him with a homemade piece of metal measuring approximately 17 inches, which was taken from him and was part of the evidence supporting the request for coercive measures.
In this new proceeding, Reyes Paula faces charges of violating Articles 245 and 309 of the Dominican Criminal Code, which punish escape or attempted escape as well as injury, battery and violence.
Reyes Paula tried to flee the center with fugitives Yomael De Óleo Rodríguez, Brayan Alexander Ramírez and Rubén Amores Martínez, who are currently being sought by authorities.
