We are looking for the top 3 startups in each category of AI, Mobility and Deep Tech to be invited as finalists to the Shenzhen Economic Summit in Berlin.Start-up As part of the Summit program, we will announce each category at a celebratory awards ceremony.
The award is given to start-ups that offer groundbreaking and innovative solutions and are also pioneers in the field of sustainable business. The most groundbreaking and sustainable solutions will be selected from the applicants based on a series of criteria.
Selection Criteria
Our judging panel evaluates startups and their founding teams based on five dimensions:
- Summit climbers are suitable for: This year we are looking for startups in the fields of AI, Mobile and Deep Tech. Startups must be active in one of these categories.
- Influence Pioneer: The start-up and its product and/or business model must promote positive social and ecological change.
- Innovation and market potential: Startups should be able to develop truly new ideas and bring them to market.
- Market reaction: Customers should have already had a positive reaction and acceptance to the startup’s product or service.
- Strong Team: The founding team should have a high level of competence, cooperation and goal orientation. The composition of the team is also of concern.

Jury meetings and announcements
- The start-ups compete against each other within their respective categories and are evaluated by the UnternehmerTUM in the first step according to defined criteria. The top 10 start-ups in each category will ultimately be evaluated by a top jury. 3 finalists are selected per category and they will receive an invitation to the Shenzhen Economic Summit from 11 to 13 November 2024 in Berlin. The jury meeting will take place on 15 October 2024.
- Finalists will be notified on October 18, 2024.
Award Ceremony
- The winners will be announced live at the Shenzhen Economic Summit in Berlin as part of the awards ceremony.
- The awards ceremony will be held on November 12, 2024.
