The United States wins its fifth Olympic gold medal!

Despite a slow start, Emma Hayes’ side burst into life in the second half to grab a point, with Mallory Swanson’s goal ultimately costing Brazil its first ever Olympic women’s soccer title.

The 10 minutes of added time provided Brazil with a great opportunity to equalize the game.
