2024 legislation: voting locations, office hours, proxy voting this Sunday… Update on the organization of the second round of voting in New Caledonia

No fewer than 220,900 voters are expected to cast ballots for the second round of early legislative elections on July 7. In several cities, polling stations have been centralised to ensure voter safety. Polling stations will operate from 7am to 5pm.

1Different polling stations in the city government

In the region’s most populous city, 72,747 voters were called to the polls between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 7. As in the first election, the 56 polling stations in the commune were Gather in seven places. Details are as follows.

In Paita town, polling stations will be secure. 19 offices are spread across three locations and will operate from 7am to 5pm. :

For the commune of Mont-Dore, the commune’s 25 polling stations will be concentrated in five different locations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Proxy voting allows a voter (the proxy) to be represented by another voter at the polling station on election day. All voters in the same city can vote by proxy.

The process is completed online:

1. Log in to your NC Connect account https://connect.gouv.nc/

2. Create your digital identity.

3. Once your digital identity is verified, log in https://www.maprocuration.gouv.fr/

4. Complete your proxy request.

5. At the end of this step, you must go to a police station, gendarmerie or consulate (if you are abroad) with your request and your ID to verify your identity.

6. Verification results are immediately transmitted electronically.

7. Once your council has verified the authorization, you will be notified by email. Therefore, the authorization is valid.

Polling station numbers are written on the electoral map.

If you do not have an electoral card, you can find your polling station number and voter number (proving that you are registered on the electoral list) at the following website: North Carolina Voters . All you need to do is enter your birth name, first name, and date of birth.

You can also vote with your ID card and passport if you know the polling station.
