Tegucigalpa/San Salvador– The Central American Cup was held at the Cuscatlan Stadium in San Salvador, with El Salvador’s Aguila defeating Honduran team Olimpia 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.
The goals for the badminton team were scored by Melvin Cartagena (53′) and Dixon Rivas (90+4′) in a very tactical game in which the locals measured up against the four-time Honduran champions led by the Argentine Pedro Troglio.
