199 Kyrgyz expatriates live in more than 20 countries

AKIPRESS website – According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan, there are 199 diaspora organizations in Kyrgyzstan in more than 20 countries.

Among them, there are 135 expatriates in the CIS countries, including 124 in Russia, 7 in Kazakhstan, and 1 each in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.

There are 37 expatriates in Europe, including 7 in Turkey, 10 in Germany, 9 in Italy, 2 each in the UK, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, and 1 each in Austria, Lithuania, Slovakia and Switzerland.

Thirteen of the expatriates live in South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Canada and the United States. One expatriate lives in Egypt.

The Ministry of Migration stated that it cooperates with diaspora organizations, including providing advice on safe migration, legal and other assistance. The Ministry of Migration has public representatives who provide advice and practical support to migrant workers and represent their interests before the police, courts and government agencies. There are 12 such public representatives in Russia and Italy.
