At least 15 prominent Ugandan musicians were in tears after being denied visas to the United Kingdom where they were due to perform at an event dubbed Summer Carnival 2024 at the Royal Regent Hall in London on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
Snoops revealed that the show had been cancelled due to the artist’s failure to obtain a UK visa from the British High Commission visa processing agency TLS in Bukoto, Kiira Road.
Some of the artists who were denied visas include: Lil Pazo, Khalifa Aganaga, Fik Gaza, Feffe Busi, Acidic Vocals, Karole Kasita, and more.

The event organisers, Global Talent Promotions, owned by Ugandan couple Fred and Becky, were reportedly in financial trouble as they had already booked the venue and paid deposits to all the artists.
The UK’s domestic visa decision-making office allegedly assessed the two artists and found they lacked the relevant connections to return to Uganda after their performances in London, and therefore failed to grant them visas.
Factors considered by the visa decision-making office in Sheffield, UK, include a stable family, assets in one’s name, financial capacity as evidenced by recent bank statements, and a thriving music career in the Ugandan music scene.
Event organizers are reportedly now deeply in debt after artistes were denied visas and shows were cancelled.
