This morning a car crashed into the guardrail at the ‘t Haasje rest area near Linde on the A2 from Eindhoven to Weert. The incident happened at around 9:30. No other traffic was involved. The driver was examined by paramedics but did not need to be taken to hospital.
After the woman got off the ambulance, police conducted a breath test and saliva test on her. The saliva test showed that the woman was under the influence of drugs. She was then arrested and taken back to the police station for further investigation. The damaged car has been taken away by a restoration company.
