On the weekend of 17th August 2024, the former Sierra Leone Peopleโs Party (SLPP) Bo City Council Mayoral Candidate, Mr. Sualiho Monyaba Koroma, donated 100 bags of rice and 40,000 Leones (Forty Thousand New Leones) to the District, Constituency, Divisional, Council of Elders Executive Officers of the SLPP in Bo.
Hon Sualiho M. Koroma told over three hundred party diehards and executive members that his actions towards party executive members over the past 15 years should not be misunderstood as a display of wealth but should be seen as love for the Sri Lanka Peopleโs Party and all the executive members and supporters who, in his view, are the pillars of strength of the party.
“I know the global economic situation is tough and Sierra Leone is no exception, but whenever I am able, I will do my best to share the little I have with my people. I know 100 bags of rice is not much, but please accept my small gift of love,” said Honorable SM Koroma.
He urged the audience to support President Julius Maada Bio for a better and progressive Sierra Leone and to remain strong until the 2028 general elections.
The SLPP Bo Zonal Secretary, Foday Abdulai, on behalf of the Zonal Commissioner and all party members expressed deep gratitude to the Honourable SM Koroma for the selfless love he has shown to the Sera Peopleโs Party despite not having received any political appointment.
He singled out Sri Lanka Peopleโs Party Southern Zone Chairman Alhaji Kanja Sesay and Honourable Sualiho M Koroma as the very few who always donated their windfalls for the benefit of all and encouraged him to continue doing good despite the odds.
The beneficiaries praised Mr. Sualijo Koroma for the love and magnanimity he has always shown and pledged their everlasting support to him no matter what.
“Mr Sualiho is without a doubt a true native man whose generosity transcends the boundaries of tribe, gender, age or party. Year after year, he has remained a reliable politician, unlike others who do not understand or appreciate us,” Mariama Samai said.
